¡Oh, desmayo!
¡Oh, dulce olvido!
¡Oh, sueño tonto,
que quitas y das vida!

Qué dulce final, qué bella obra,
que da brillo a dos tenores desnudos
 sobre un escenario oscurecido.

Y hasta aquí hemos llegado, lectores:
Dos actores, un coro de angeles
y unos cuantos músicos.

Baja el telón. Sube el telón.
Saludan los artistas.

Desde las primeras filas
se oye un murmullo.

Se dice, se comenta:
-¡Oh, divina comedia!
¡Oh, divina obra suprema,
que despierta el sentido del amor,
cuando los demás quedan adormecidos!

THE DANCE OF THE SENSES

The air stopped whilst
she looked at the serene mantle of the moon.
In an instant the body shudders,
when touched with hands of silk.

Touch fades to oblivion
and produces the delirium
of a glass of red wine.
And so, absent, without more,
luck is left to the arms of a melody
and the dance of the fingers
that search for celestial notes.

Everything transpires without logic
and there with a roll of a drumroll,
the mystery of the climax
unravelled itself to the highest peak,
no human could have ever imagined.
Emotion overwhelmed the teacher,
 he disengaged from his disciples.

The two lay chest upon chest
leaving the note in the highest key of the act.
And a choir of angels,
sang in harmony
with both tenors.

To such an extent
that your souls sail in unison
in a sea of sweetness,
where nobody can hear you or feel you,
only the silence of the room is perceived.

Oh, swoon!
Oh sweet oblivion,
oh silly dream
that takes life and gives it.

What a sweet end, what beautiful work
that lights up two naked tenors
upon a darkened stage.

Here we come audience:
Two actors, a choir of angels
and a few musicians.

From the first rows
a murmur can be heard.

The curtains lowered,
the curtains rose,
the actors were greeted.

The audience said, commented:
"Oh what divine comedy!
oh divine work, supreme,
that awakes the senses of love,
whilst the other lie dormant."

THE ELIXIR OF OBLIVION

The poet wrote " The love is like a flower",
he was calm, obliviously
he wrote, without thought
ready made phrases upon lacklustre paper.

He had forgotten to
reflect upon the idea:
Can a a flower bloom in dry lands,
where the water does not flow?

From where do they get their colours
the poppies, the carnations, the violets or the roses?
Who takes care of them,  who speaks to them of impassioned love?

The flowers fed from thoughts of madness,
taking each drop of dew and one by one,
each drop tenderly kissed their petals of ardent desire.

When it is love that comes from the heart,
the pores exhale the aroma,
and the fragrance.
The fork tongued kisses
return to ephemeral like snowdrops.

The lovers rode frantically
without destination. Fleeing
from a time in which their eyes were orphaned.
and without blushing, their souls were delivered into the starlit sky.

When lovers bring out the best in the corsages,
everything around them becomes tender and sweet.
Diluted springs,
herringbone wheat fields
but without apparent cause
they go rummaging in the wounds of crucified Cupid.

 The poet forgot
that the flowers are not without venomous thorns
and the petals wilt without remedy.
It is then and only then,
we drink secretly, in the twisted corners,
the acidic elixir of oblivion.

A UN PANAL DE RICOS BESOS

¡No, no, y no!

¡No, no, no y no me conformo
ir solo a mi entierro,
necesito un antídoto para curar mi deseo
de volver a saborear tus besos!

¡No, no y no!
No dejes nunca de besarme,
pues tu serías la culpable,
de una muerte anunciada.

 RICH HONEYCOMBED KISSES

No, no, no I will not conform!
Why do I despair
driven by sources of wind,
in the prelude of a day without your kisses.

The day I gave you the first,
I likened it to kissing a wasp´s nest
and now if I do not have your lips,
I remember the honey
it torments my witless brain.

Now, I will not conform,
because so much venom
has entered my heart through your lips,
and now I die.

No, no, no I will not conform,
I will go alone to my funeral,
I need an antidote to cure my desire
to return to taste your kisses!

No, no, no never stop kissing me,
or you will be accountable,
for a death foretold!

Yo no daba crédito a tanta hermosura.

escribir banalidades no tendría sentido.

THE GIRL WITH THE WIDE BRIMMED HAT

Her face drew close wearing an imperitent gaze.
With haughty voice, almost cocky,
she kisses me on the mouth, rendering me helpless.

Without my realising, she took off her clothes and tore at mine.
I did not give credit to such  beauty.
A strange desire came over my body.
Her hands fluttered like butterflies
the hours died beneath the pillow,
whilst she searched every pore for lavish treasures.
I disbelievingly was attentive to her erotic games,
everything was given up to uncertainty.

Oh passion! Oh madness!
Where is my poetry now?
Where is the virtue to write such frivolous stories?
So much spilt ink, so many dreams left undreamt
and so many struggles of princesses and dragons forgotten!
Now I am at your side, happy like a child,
talking of trivial things that have no meaning.

She awoke and she looked just as she had when she entered.
Her voice and her demeanour had not changed.
She wore her boots, her black tunic hung over the backs of them.
She ajusted her wide brimmed hat.
She fixed her eyes upon mine and said in a cold voice.

You are a good boy!

My muse was lost to the street, she dressed as though in mourning,
but I swear before I turned around,
two tears trickled down her cheeks.
